I am happily married with two children.

During my pregnancies, I researched and learned everything I could about babies, pregnancy, and especially the medical environment surrounding all of it. I understand that if you don’t know your options, then you don’t have any. I was determined that I wouldn't simply be a passenger for my births, I wanted to go in knowing my options and owning my birth. I worked very hard to achieve natural birthing experiences, the perfect birth for me. I knew the next logical step was to bring what I had learned to other expectant families.

I love pregnancy, childbirth and everything about both. I know how empowering pregnancy and childbirth can be, with knowledge and understanding every woman can grow from and cherish her birthing experience. Every woman can have the birthing experience that is right for her.

• I have attended 5 births (not including my own) prior to becoming a doula and am working with my first clients as a trained doula. I have attended one birth as the doula.

• I attended a labor doula training and am working on my CAPPA certification.
